Day 1: Buy yourself flowers from the Farmer’s Market
Hey girl, in case no one’s told you this lately… you don’t need to wait on a boyfriend to have beautiful flowers filling your room. Go out and get those flowers for yourself!
Find your local farmer’s market for the most beautiful, and usually inexpensive bouquets of flowers. Pick out the ones that make your heart happy and carry them around with you as you stroll.
I don’t know what it is about carrying around a bouquet of flowers, but I swear it’s one of the best ways to romanticize your life.
Day 2: Journal self affirmations or the things you love about yourself
Forget about writing love notes to boys. Today, you’re gonna write a love note to YOU!
First, open up your journal (if you don’t have one, I use this one in the color “blush.” It’s so pretty and I love the openness of the blank pages!). Then, just grab a pen and start writing.
Write about the things you love about yourself. Thank yourself for how far you’ve come and all that you’ve done for yourself. You can even use this time to write positive self affirmations to put your thoughts and energy into what you want to manifest.
If you don’t know what affirmations to write, you can find my 47 powerful self affirmations here for inspiration.
Day 3: Schedule yourself a massage
Day 3 in this 14 Days of Singles Valentine’s Day Ideas is all about giving your body the rest it no doubt needs. Massages might not typically be in your budget, but there’s no better time than Valentine’s Day month to invest in some R&R.
Whether your job involves sitting at a desk, or standing on your feet all day, or your job is being a full-time mama, I know one thing: You could use a break.
Schedule a massage and allow yourself to fully relax and recuperate.
Day 4: Cook yourself a new meal from Pinterest or a cookbook
No ordering takeout or eating a microwave dinner tonight, missy! Nope, tonight you’re going to cook a fabulous, healthy, delicious (albeit simple) dinner for yourself.
If you find it more fun, cook dinner with a friend so you have some good company to share it with!
But however you do it, the point is to take the time to romanticize your life and take care of yourself. We tend to want to cook for people when we’re in a relationship to nurture and provide for them, but when we’re alone we often let our own needs go unmet.
Remember, you deserve a nice dinner just as much as a romantic partner would. It might sound simple, but making a tasty and nutritious dinner is a great way to love yourself.
Day 5: Put on a sexy outfit just for you and wear it out (or stay in)
Dressing up isn’t just for when you have a boyfriend (or an “it’s complicated,” either).
You can put on a great outfit, have a full face of makeup, and do your hair all for yourself! Whether you do that and go out for a night of fun and dancing, or you do it and hang around the house feeling like a hot tamale all by yourself, it doesn’t matter.
The goal with Day 5 of these singles Valentine’s Day ideas is to feel beautiful for yourself. No other motive required.
Day 6: Take yourself on a coffee date to a new spot
Coffee is my love language. Is it yours, too?
If it is, find a new coffee shop in your area that you’ve been dying to try, and go check it out. Put on something cute and cozy, pack up a book or your laptop, and go stay a while.
Take it all in. The smells, the delicious coffee, the flaky pastry you ordered, the cute guy who served the coffee, and the pretty plants hanging from the ceiling.
Romanticize your visit to the coffee shop like you would if you were watching it on television or reading about it in a book.
And feel free to Instagram it, too. Obviously.
Oh, and if you live in San Diego, here are the best local coffee shops to go hang out at.
Day 7: Have a luxurious self care day
One of my favorite single’s Valentine’s Day week ideas is to have yourself a luxurious day full of self care activities.
Do a full Korean skincare routine if that’s your thing!
Bring out the jade roller, the gua sha, the ice roller, the eye masks, face oils, and the clay mask. Be completely over the top about it and relish in the fact that your skin is about to look friggin fantastic.
Or, turn your focus to your body! Take a hot shower or a sweet smelling bubble bath. Exfoliate your skin from your feet to your shoulders with a sugar scrub. You can also make a DIY sugar or coffee scrub if you prefer!
Then shave (if you’re into that type of thing), rinse off, and massage some lotion and then body oil into your skin to moisturize your skin and make it feel silky smooth.
Overall, you want to pamper yourself today. Make it fun by lighting some candles or incense, playing music, or putting a good rom-com on in the background.
You do you, boo.

Day 8: Get your nails done, or do them yourself
I don’t know about you, but I usually don’t take the time to do my nails. Something always comes up that seems more important, or I don’t have the time until late at night when I’m too tired to do them.
So for Day 8 of the Single’s Valentine’s Day Week, put aside the time to paint your nails. Or, make an appointment and pay someone to do them for you!
Go all out to get the best results you can. Use a cuticle gel to soften your cuticles, and push them back or cut them. Buff your nails (make sure you don’t overdo it!), and paint on a good base coat before actually painting the color you want. And don’t forget the top coat to make it last longer!
Day 9: Bake a cake (no calorie counting allowed)
Listen up, hottie. Valentine’s Day week is full of cheat meals, chocolates, desserts, and cupcakes for the masses. That means couples and singles alike.
But there’s something about baking your own cake that just feels more fun and special.
Pick out a delicious and foolproof cake recipe from Pinterest and bake away!
Don’t forget to eat it, enjoy it, and refrain from calorie-counting for the evening.
Day 10: Watch a rom-com and drink wine
Ah, yes. The Single’s Valentine’s Day week classic: Wine and a rom-com.
It’s a classic because, well, it’s one of the most fun and relaxing things you can do.
If you don’t drink, who cares! Make yourself a mocktail, or grab your favorite drink and snacks for the film.
Netflix has some decent romantic comedies, but if you’ve exhausted those you can always turn to Hulu or Amazon Prime (you can sign up for a free 30 day trial here!).
Day 11: Make Valentine’s Day cards for the people you love
One of the most fun parts of Valentine’s Day is getting to make cute, fun little crafts to demonstrate your affection for the people you care about. Yes, they might be cheesy, or silly, or look like a 5 year old made them (at least mine do), but still.
It’s the thought that counts.
You can even make this a group activity! Get a few friends together, buy a ton of glitter, colorful construction paper, pretty pens and markers, maybe some ribbon, and get to crafting.
Day 12: Take a hot girl walk
A “hot girl walk” is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. You take a walk out in nature and dwell on your hot-girl-ness. Listen to a playlist that gives you hot girl vibes or makes you feel empowered.
You can also play a podcast that encourages you, motivates you, or reminds you of your baddie super powers.
The point is to get some movement, spend time outside instead of inside or on your phone, and to get into a self confident, self-loving vibe.
After all, this week is to celebrate YOU, babe. So go do it.
Day 13: Go bar hopping with a friend
Just have fun with this one, friend! I’m not suggesting you get smashed, because honestly that’s never as much fun as you think it will be. What I’m saying is, grab a couple close girl friends who you trust to have your back, and go try out some different spots around town.
I personally prefer places like breweries that have less of that wild bar atmosphere, but you do whatever you like!
But for the love of all things good, do NOT text any exes no matter how badly you “just want to see how he’s doing.”
He’s fine, he’s probably the exact same as the way you left him, and you’ll regret it the next day. I can (mostly) guarantee all of that.
This night is all about having fun with the girls. Have some good drinks, some delicious pub food, and maybe sing in front of a bunch of strangers when it’s time for karaoke.
If you need some inspiration, I highly suggest watching New Girl’s episode “The Crawl.” Why? Because they literally do just what I said (go bar hopping for Valentine’s Day,) and it’s also the most hilarious show on Netflix right now.
Day 14: Have a Galentine’s Day party with your closest girls
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Single’s Valentine’s Day week of activities if you didn’t end it with a bangin’ Galentine’s Day party!
Have everyone bring a little something: a bottle of wine, snacks, a side dish, utensils so no one has to do dishes—whatever you want your party to have. You can even decorate with some anti-Valentine’s Day party favors, like the ones I’ve linked below.
Cupid is Stupid banner
Galentine’s Day Drinkware
Galentine’s Day Game Bundle
Mini Champagne Galentine’s Day Labels
Don’t forget to dress up in something that makes you feel beautiful and take TONS of silly and gorgeous pictures together.
And if you really want to keep the party going, you can end the night with face masks, fingernail painting, temporary hair dye, and a great chick flick.
Conclusion to 14 Days of Singles’ Valentine’s Day Ideas and Activities

Even if all the love in the air does make you a bit nauseous.
