Gift Ideas for the Fitness Obsessed Friend She’ll Love

Best gifts for fitness lovers, affordable gifts for fitness people.

Hey there, everyone, welcome back! If you read my last post, Gift Guide for the Fashion Lover, you know that I’m in the process of creating a bunch of different gift guides for all your favorite people in your life. Well today’s post is all about Gifts for Fitness Lovers, featuring a ton of gift ideas for fitness ladies in all price ranges! These are amazing gift ideas for your bestie, your girlfriend, your sister, your mother, your cool aunt–really, any lady in your life. These fitness gifts can be given on Christmas, Mother’s Day, a birthday, or any holiday/occasion at all!

Sooo I thought creating gift guides would be easy-peasy, but apparently I’m less tech savvy than I thought. BUT. I learned a lot from writing one gift guide post, and I realize I need to have different price ranges for these guides so y’all can pick and choose how much cash you’re willing to drop right now haha. So below, you’ll find gifts in the “lower price range” (about $30ish and under), the “middle price range” ($30ish-$70ish) and “high price range” (above $70). I can’t put specific price tags because that goes against Amazon Associates’ policies, but I tried to give you an idea of what each item will cost.

As an Amazon Associate I may earn from qualifying purchases at NO extra cost to you. I share only my honest opinion on products. Thank you for supporting Of Good Report!

Gifts for Fitness Lovers: Lower Price Range

Resistance Bands

These affordable booty bands are my personal favorite because, unlike other rubber resistance bands, these ones are thicker and made of cloth so they don’t slip when you’re using them. (Resistance bands that slip are one of my top pet peeves in the fitness world haha.) Booty bands are awesome gifts for fitness lovers because 1) the bands are travel-friendly so you can still exercise when you’re away from home or the gym and 2) they’re versatile and can be used in a variety of movements.

This pack comes with 3 resistance levels. If your friend/family member is a fitness beginner, you might prefer this non-slip pack that has 5 resistance levels (extra light, light, medium, heavy, extra heavy).

When I started working out for the first time in my life, booty bands were my go-to and I used them almost daily. I would say these are a good gift for fitness beginners and the perfect at home workout gift.

Yoga Mat

This yoga mat was advertised as being thick and sturdy, so it won’t tear easy. Yoga mats are great for yoga (duh), but also for warming up/cooling down stretches before and after a workout. Definitely a great affordable gift option for a friend who’s getting into a fitness lifestyle.

Foam Roller

Foam rollers are used by fitness peeps & freaks for myofascial release (which is Kinesiology talk for “it helps iron out your muscles to make them feel better and make you more bendy.”) A foam roller is a good gift for athletes, runners, weight lifters, all types of people who spend a good portion of their day/life doing things that make people sore.

Keep in mind this definitely does not feel good haha, it’s uncomfortable/painful, but makes an extremely effective and helpful gift for fitness lovers. This is helpful for beginners, but if your friend is just beginning a fitness lifestyle, this might be a less fun gift idea. If you want to make your giftee feel good, perhaps just buy them a gift card to a spa instead.

Note: The picture shows 2 foam rollers (one is heavy-duty and one is lightweight), but some options you’ll see will only include the heavy duty one. Make sure you select the option you want carefully!

Shaker Bottles

Shaker bottles are great practical gifts for fitness lovers, beginners, and basically anyone who works out. Use them to mix protein with water/milk/milk alternative, or to shake up some water with a BCAA mix, pre-work out, etc. These ones come in a variety of colors if your friend isn’t a big purple fan.

“Furniture Sliders” (use as workout slides)

So, my boyfriend and I own these furniture sliders, and they work on carpet and hardwood floor. I decided to use these ones instead of the cuter, prettier versions which are actually intended for workouts haha. We got the furniture sliders because 1) they’re cheaper because they come with two sets, 2) they work the same way as the actual fitness slides, and 3) I like that they’re more foot-shaped than circular. That said, these actual exercise core sliders are still super affordable. They come in blue, grey and purple, and a guide for how to best use them.

These are a great gift idea for fitness beginners and a perfect at home workout gift.

Gym Bag

Gym bags are a necessity for anyone who doesn’t have a home gym. This Puma bag is super cute, affordable, and roomy enough to carry all your gym equipment essentials: extra clothes, water bottle, any resistance bands you bring, etc. It also has a little zipper pouch on the inside for cash/cards and keys!

Sports Bra & Crop Top

This sports bra doubles as a crop top, and is so freaking cute that I’ll be ordering one for myself. (I’m not just saying that. I’ll post a picture on my Insta when I get it). I’ve seen a lot of influencers on Instagram post pictures in this one. This is a cute gift for the fitness lover to be worn to the gym, but also for a casual day out with daily wear. It comes in a nice variety of colors so you can pick whichever would best suit your fitness minded friend!

Iron Flask Narrow Mouth Sports Water Bottle

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Every fitness person needs a nice, re-useable water bottle (save the planet, people!). This one is very affordable and comes with three different lids: straw lid, flip lid, and regular screw on lid. It can be used to keep hot drinks hot for 12 hours, or keep cold beverages cold for 24 hours, and is double-walled for good insulation. It also comes in a bunch of different colors and sizes, so pick your favorite!

Weighted Jump Rope

This jump rope is beautiful, affordable, weighted, and a great way to get the heart rate up. ‘Nuff said.

No-Slip Headbands

These headbands got great reviews for actually not slipping, which is pretty rare with workout headbands. These are fashionable and will absorb all that beautiful sweat you accumulate during a good workout, making them a great gift option for people in the gym, runners, athletes and the like.

Athletic Tank Top

This affordable workout/yoga tank top has a mesh back, which is perfect to keep cool. Plus, I love that this top is a normal length (not a crop top) and has a scoop neck that’s high enough that ya girls won’t be popping out when you’re trying to work out haha. It comes in a lot of great colors, too!

Gifts for Fitness Lovers: Middle Price Range

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is basically what gym girls live off of haha (otherwise we gotta wash our hair every day, and apparently that’s actually really unhealthy for hair). Living Proof is my suggested brand because it’s one of the only brands advertised for actually cleaning your hair. That’s right. It absorbs and removes sweat, dirt and oil. Other brands might be cheaper (I personally use and love the Not Your Mother’s Toasted Coconut), but don’t do a half as thorough job of cleaning your hair.

Living Proof Dry Shampoo leaves your hair smelling fresh, looking clean, and without that powdery residue you get from other brands.

Ninja Blender

A Ninja blender is the perfect gift for a fitness lover to make healthy smoothies for strength gains and weight loss. We own and use a Ninja Blender all the time for morning smoothies and post workout smoothies. This Ninja comes with 2 16-ounce cups and a 30-page recipe book for smoothie inspiration.

If you’re looking for gifts for fitness lovers that can be used daily, this is perfect for you.

Adidas Small Duffel Bag

Similar to the Puma duffel bag in the first price range, this bag is more durable and has more zippers and storage spaces. This bag is definitely meant to last as it has a lifetime warranty and thick fabric! Possibly a better option if you want a bag that’ll last a bit longer.

There are lots of color options for this one, if peach and turquoise aren’t your thing.

Nike Women’s Revolution 5 Running Shoe

If your fitness minded friend is a runner, these Nike Women’s Revolution 5 shoe are the perfect gift. I personally love the black pair with the metallic accents. The prices range a lot on this one, so double-check after selecting your friend’s shoe size and preferred color!

Fitness Tracker

This fitness tracker comes with a built-in Alexa and is a helpful gift for fellow fitness minded peeps. It’s advertised to track heart rate, sleep, steps, distance, calories burned, etc. It even helps you track your menstrual cycle!

The Fitness Tracker is an affordable gift that looks like it could be super helpful for someone not ready to splurge on a Fitbit

Synch it up to your smart phone to control music, accept/decline calls, and see message notifications! Comes orange, olive, or midnight black.

Flipbelt

The Flipbelt is another great gift for runners, joggers, and struggling-to-breathe-but-still-moving-ers (like myself). The Flipbelt is worn like a belt, and holds keys, smart phones like your iPhone or Android, credit cards, and cash. Basically, it holds the essentials you would need on a run without all the hassle of a purse or with bounciness of wearing a fanny pack.

It’s built for comfort and security, so the wearer will barely even notice it’s there.

Glass Food Storage Containers (10 Pack)

Meal prep containers had to be included in this fitness gift guide because they’re soooo helpful, but it can be hard to find a good affordable set. I read some reviews and decided I like these ones from Amazon the best because they’re dishwasher and microwave safe, they don’t spill or leak, and they’re made of glass. Plastic can get scratched up easier, and it’s harder to remove yucky smells from plastic than glass if you forget a used food container in your car for a couple days.

Gifts for Fitness Lovers: Highest Price Range (but all totally worth it)

Fitbit Inspire

Ah yes, the Fitbit. How could I not include this? The Fitbit is the fitness person’s perfect tracker. It has 24/7 heart rate tracking to accurately track calorie burn, resting heart rate & heart rate zones during workouts. It also tracks your light and deep sleep. Plus, it has a ton of other features that you can read about for yourself via the link above because it’ll take up a ton of space here haha.

Battery life: 5 days (give or take, depending on usage)

New: Fitbit Inspire 2

Ta-daaaa! The new Fitbit Inspire 2 is being released this September 2020. This includes a free 1-year Fitbit Premium trial for new Premium users. Battery life for this bad boy is up to 10 days, twice as much as the original Fitbit. Continue to estimate your calorie burn, your deep, light and REM sleep, participate in fitness challenges with friends, and more.

(I would suggest waiting until it’s been out for a couple weeks so you can read reviews from actual users, because it’s too new to read buyers’ reviews yet!)

Plantonics Wireless, Bluetooth Headphones (sweat proof)

Headphones are every woman’s best friend in the gym. I’m typically more into the weight lifting side of fitness, so I prefer headphones that go over the head. These headphones are wireless and connect to your smart phone with Bluetooth. I also love that 1) they’re sweat proof and 2) have an “Awareness Mode” so you aren’t totally deaf to who/what is around you.

But if your friend and loved one is a runner, they’ll probably prefer something that fits into the ears, like these Apple AirPods or Apple AirPods Pro.

Hamilton Beach Portable Slow Cooker

Crock pots and slow cookers are the perfect gift for fitness and healthy lifestyle people. Throw in some veggies, meat, soup, potatoes, whatevs and cook away without the fear of overcooking or burning your house down. The temperature probe keeps your food from being overcooked, which is a huge plus if you’re gone at work all day. (Apparently you can even make yogurt in a slow cooker?? Didn’t know that was a thing.)

PowerBlock Adjustable Dumbbell Set (I use these and am IN LOVE)

Yup, I use these 4 days out of the week for basically every workout. I’m including these in a post I have coming up about Fitness Essentials for an At-Home Gym, but really I can’t emphasize enough how great these are.

Here are some of the benefits:

  • They’re stackable, so they don’t take up much room (especially in comparison to having 16 sets of dumbbells you’d need lying around your house to equal this one set)
  • They don’t roll around when you sit them down thanks to their rectangular shape
  • The weight is adjustable in increments of 5 pounds: so you’ve got 5 pound dumbbells, 10, 15, 20, etc. up to 50 pounds.

Yes, these are a bit pricey, but if you or your friend has an at home gym, I would argue that these are well worth it. I use these constantly, and I quit my gym membership, so these have saved me a ton of money in the long run.
